Have Faith-see a miracle

“You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.” Isaiah 26:3

That is an easy scripture to believe, also a great hope but at times it is tough to practice. Life has been crazy for Paige, the kids and me for the last three weeks. My time has been consumed by the daily-ness of life in ministry and repairing and preparing our home for Chris’ graduation.

God’s promises of peace are not just for the times when the ship is sailing smoothly but also in the times of the storm. When the storm hit the lake Jesus was at peace asleep in the boat while everyone else feared they would die. How often do we find ourselves in the same situation; our world is collapsing around us. We are sure there is no light at the end of the tunnel or if there is, it is a train. Family situation is tough, health is compromised, job is at risk, whatever the situation are storm is very real. There is no denying the reality but it is at times like this that we need to remember that God’s promises are real also, in fact more so than our situation. I know it is tough (be there, done that, got the t-shirt), that is where we must begin to walk by faith. Faith is scary! All of the time we are required to walk by faith it is because we have never been there before, otherwise it would not require faith. Our Father, who is pleased only by our faith to believe Him, always rewards the risk of believing by faith. He promises he will reward, bless, and strengthen us and will never fail us.

Look at your struggle as an opportunity to walk by faith. As you do expect the miracles you need to follow. Most of the miracles I have seen have been a direct result of God placing me in situations where I had to have faith and as He promised He rewarded with the miracle I needed.

Scary place, have faith, see a miracle!
